Congratulations are in order for Year 11 students of Prendergast Vale School.

The class of 2022 have received some excellent GCSE results and rightly celebrated at the school with friends, families, teachers and the MP for Lewisham Deptford, Vicky Foxcroft.

Despite major disruption within education over the past two years, students have posted results that overall show a strong upward trajectory in exam grades and progress. GCSE results for the most demanding GCSEs (also known as EBacc) have increased over pre pandemic levels, meaning many more students have a world of opportunities open to them.

There have been some exceptional academic performances including

Arunsharma - 6 grade 9s, 1 grade 8 and 1 grade 7

Scarlett - 4 grade 9s and 3 grade 7s

Ewa - 7 grade 8s and 1 grade 7

Zakariya - 2 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s and 5 grade 7s

Piraveen - 3 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s and 1 grade 7

 

Many other students have performed fantastically well and are now well set to achieve their career and personal aspirations.

These results confirm that students, parents and teachers working together in strong partnership can overcome the most difficult challenges and give our young people the best possible start in life.
