GCSE Exam Results 2019 - Prendergast Vale School

Prendergast Vale School is once again celebrating the GCSE exam successes of its students this year.

Almost half of all their GCSE results were at the more demanding standard of grade 5 or higher. Under the new system of marking GCSEs, Grade 4 is considered the standard pass.

Students at Prendergast Vale received twenty-three Grade 9s – which is the highest grade possible. One result in every 6 was graded at 7, 8 or 9.

The performance of Ayomikun was exceptional.  She was awarded 6 grades 9s across a range of academic subjects.

“I was incredibly shocked. I keep looking to see if it really is my name on the envelope. I am really looking forward to starting my A levels and am just so excited about my future," said a delighted Ayomikun

Prendergast Vale Headteacher, Mr Kamya, said:

“The results reflect the huge amount of hard work undertaken by the students, teachers and parents throughout the year.

“All of our young people are well prepared for the next stage of their lives and are excited about the additional opportunities that they now have to pursue their lifetime aspirations. This is testament to the hard work of students, teachers and parents throughout the whole year.”
