Good attendance

It is expected that all students attend school regularly and we ask that parents encourage their children to attend school every day and on time. Good attendance at school is vital to help children achieve the best possible start in life. Not only is there is a strong link between good school attendance and achieving good results, it is also a life skill that will be essential as children embark on careers after leaving school. 

The school looks forward to working in partnership with parents to support students in maximising their attendance at school. However, we do recognise that there may be occasions when your child is unwell and we ask that parents follow our absence reporting procedure.

Absence Reporting

In the event that your child is unable to attend school:

• The parent / carer must contact us as soon as possible on the first day of absence (Tel: 020 8297 3540, option 1) OR call into school and report to the reception team
• You must report your child’s absence every day that they are absent from school

If a child is absent and the school have not heard from the parent / carer, the Attendance Officer will text / call the parent / carer to establish a reason for the absence. For further information, please see our Attendance and Punctuality Policy.

Timings of the School Day

Nursery Phase

The school day begins at 8:45am for all nursery children. 

Full-time children attend 8:45am-3pm, Monday-Thursday, and 8:45am-1:45pm on Friday.

Part-time children attend 8:45am-3pm on Monday & Tuesday and 8:45am-11:15am on Wednesday, OR 12:30pm-3pm on Wednesday and 8:45am-3pm on Thursday & Friday.

Primary Phase

The school day begins at 8:25am for all primary children.

We expect children to arrive between 8:15am-8:25am. School finishes at 3pm.

Secondary Phase

Students are expected to arrive at school between 8:15am-8:20am.

By 8:25am, students are expected to be lined up outside their form room or lined up for their weekly year group assembly. School finishes at 3.10pm.

Student enrichment (extra-curricular) activities take place between 3pm-4pm.
